Radish (scientifically known as Raphanus sativus) is a herbaceous annual or biennial plant in the grown for its edible taproot. The taproot (radish) is cylindrical or tapering and commonly red or white in color. Radishes are rich in Vitamin C, folates, fiber, riboflavin, potassium, copper, vitamin B6, magnesium, manganese, and calcium. They help rebuild tissues, blood vessels, keep bones & teeth strong, fight diseases, and maintain a healthy weight.

  • Plant Type. Outdoor, underground taproot
  • Product Height. Seeds ( Please order pot separately)
  • Sunlight. They require full sun exposure
  • Watering. Consistent watering to keep soil moist
  • Soil. Any soil type is suited, as long as it is well drained
  • Sowing. Plant 4-6 weeks before the average date of last frost and direct sow seeds ½ inch to an inch deep
  • Fertilizing. Work aged manure or organic fertilizer into the soil before sowing
